My research focuses on understanding how technical practice is reproduced and synchronized across space. At the moment, I am focusing on finishing up my dissertation, which is based on an ethnographic study of software developers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The dissertation addresses, among other things, the role of place in open source communities, which is a topic that I particularly want to pursue in future.
